The Dutch Government’s Special Envoy visited the Save Ukraine Center in Irpin
Last week, we welcomed a government delegation and the team of the Embassy of the Netherlands in Ukraine to our Save Ukraine Center in Irpin. Among the visitors was Joost Klarenbeek, the Dutch Government’s Special Envoy for Cooperation with Ukraine.
We shared how Save Ukraine works on the ground: rescuing children and families from areas under active threat, supporting them through the first — and often most difficult — days after evacuation, and helping them begin their path to recovery. Our discussions focused on what truly matters: the long journey a child takes from trauma and fear to the moment they can play, learn, and trust the world again.
Visits like this reflect a shared responsibility. No child should face the consequences of war alone — and the support of international partners makes a real, tangible difference.
Our cooperation with the Netherlands spans many years. With the support of the Dutch Government and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, we run an Early Intervention Program for children from birth to four years old. Thanks to this partnership, the Early Intervention Center in Irpin operates daily, where psychologists, speech therapists, physical therapists, and developmental specialists help young children overcome developmental challenges and build a healthier future.
