Save Ukraine has returned 9 children from the Russian occupation
We returned 9 more children from the Russian occupation. And it’s not just a number. It’s 5 families. In total, our organization has saved 324 children, including 88 orphans.
Some families left because of heavy shelling, others because of the threat of sending their children to the camps. There were cases when occupiers took children and did not return home.
The rescued children told us that from the 6th grade in Russian schools in the occupied territories, they have to join the junior army, regardless of gender. And in the 10th-11th grades — to the cadet corps, where they teach how to shoot machine guns, control UAVs, dig trenches, etc. Those who pass the exams well are “encouraged” with high scores for entering the universities.
As always, we are sincerely grateful to our partners from the Charity Foundation Humanity for their support in organizing the challenging rescue mission despite delays at roadblocks and intimidation.
We continue to work for the liberation of every Ukrainian child from the Russian occupation.
