Pupils of one of our "Hope and Recovery" centers became TV presenters for one day
Pupils of one of our “Hope and Recovery” centers became TV presenters for one day.
Last week, the children visited the studio of the TV channel “Inter”. Media workers introduced the children to the world of journalism and explained the specifics of preparing reports.
Young visitors saw the technical side of the profession: a control room, and special equipment for shooting and broadcasting TV programs. They were invited to the studio, where the news program takes place, there the children tried on the profession of a cameraman and TV presenter. With great pleasure, our wards explored the operation of the cameras and tried themselves as journalists, interviewing each other.
The children also learned about the importance of verifying the authenticity of information and the speed of informing the public. Journalists told them how crucial it is today to know the language in this profession. With undisguised interest, the children listened to the story about various ammunition used during filming in war zones and during shelling. Some even tried on helmets and bulletproof vests with the inscription “PRESS”.
Our children returned to the center delighted with the excursion and communication with real professionals in their field. We would like to thank the Inter TV-Channel for the opportunity to return the stolen childhood to our children.
