Opening of a family center in Irpin
On August 17, a family center in Irpin was inaugurated for families affected by russian aggression. This became possible thanks to a joint initiative of the Ukrainian Church of Evangelical Christians, our American partners and Save Ukraine.
The event was attended by guests and journalists, as well as families with children of all ages who live in modular houses on the territory of the center. The opening of the center was an important event for those present, as it is a big step towards the psychological and physical recovery of many Ukrainian families who have experienced many losses and horrors as a result of the full-scale russian invasion.
The new family center has already started its work. Soon, a day center for children aged 6 to 17 will start operating here, where they will be able to receive social and psychological support, resume learning and communication with their peers. This is already the 16th day center at church communities that Save Ukraine has managed to open with the support of partners, patrons and friends of the foundation.
The center will also soon start implementing the Sure Start program for pregnant women, children aged 0 to 4 years and their parents. A program for the development of family-based forms of education for orphans and a training center will be launched.
The family center is also expected to open Ukraine’s first Club of Champions. The appearance in our country of this club for children with disabilities, developed and inspired by Craig Johnson, pastor of LakeWood Church in Texas, is to be a remarkable event!
We are very happy that we have been able to unite with wonderful partners and heartfelt people for this extraordinary cause aimed at helping Ukrainians!
We hope that the center will bring families the long-awaited mental well-being, peace of mind and confidence in a better future for their children.
And the Save Ukraine team will make every effort to make it happen!
