She was threatened for openly criticizing Russia and its army. To stay alive, Margarita was forced to burn everything Ukrainian she owned: her flag, her diary, her awards, her vyshyvankas. Every symbol of who she was had to be destroyed, so she wouldn’t be taken.

Because of this partnership, families living in our Hope and Healing Centers now have electricity and warmth during blackouts.

Just a few months ago, three-year-old Sasha did not respond to his name and would suddenly run away from his mother during walks. He avoided eye contact, could not focus even for a short time, and struggled with everyday routines.
