4 children & teenagers were rescued by Save Ukraine team last week
Last week, the Save Ukraine team rescued 4 children and teenagers from occupation and deportation. This became possible thanks to the support of our partners within the framework of the President of Ukraine’s initiative Bring Kids Back UA.
Each of these young people has endured a difficult journey marked by threats, coercion, and hostile propaganda — and today, they are finally safe.
Among those rescued:
🔹 20-year-old Maksym, who was brutally interrogated by FSB officers because of his pro-Ukrainian posts on social media. He was later expelled from university. To escape further pressure and forced mobilization, he made the difficult decision to leave occupied territory.
🔹 19-year-old Maryna, who was bullied by her peers for openly expressing her Ukrainian identity. The constant stress and aggression led to serious health issues.
🔹 17-year-old Serhii, who was forced by the occupiers to attend a russian school — otherwise, his family was threatened with deportation, and his mother risked losing her parental rights. Later, during a forced medical examination, he was handed a draft notice. To save their son from being sent to fight in the enemy’s army, the family fled the occupation.
These teenagers, rescued just last week, have already been given a chance for a new life. They are now recovering in our Hope and Healing Centers, where they receive psychological support, assistance with documents, and a safe place to begin again.
Thousands of children are still trapped — forced to forget who they are and openly prepared for war. But we will not stop.
🙏 We are grateful to our partners Wladimir Klitschko, Tatjana Kiel, WeAreAllUkrainians, and the Joint Center for Coordination of Search and Release — together, we are bringing Ukrainian children home.
Thanks to Save Ukraine, more than 1,200 children are already back home.
