Last week, the Save Ukraine team rescued 30 children and teenagers from occupation. This was made possible thanks to the support of our partners within the framework of the President of Ukraine’s Bring Kids Back UA initiative. Each of them endured psychological pressure, intimidation, and attempts to erase their identity, but the worst is finally behind them.

Among the rescued:

🔹 16-year-old Nastya, who, out of constant fear, barely left her own yard for years. The occupation police subjected her to brutal terror because she secretly attended a Ukrainian school online: security forces regularly showed up for inspections, fined her parents, and used threats to force her to get a Russian passport.

🔹 15-year-old Iryna, whose home was raided multiple times by armed soldiers who threatened to take her away from her parents forever if she didn’t attend an occupation school. At the school, children were strictly forbidden from speaking their native language; they were yelled at and forced to sing the enemy’s anthem.

🔹 17-year-old Roman, who was brutally interrogated by Russian soldiers and threatened with mutilation as they demanded information about the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The young man was forcibly registered for military service and began receiving draft notices as they prepared to mobilize him.

For these and 27 other children, the occupation is now in the past. Today, they are undergoing rehabilitation at our Hope and Healing Centers, receiving comprehensive psychological support, assistance with documents, and a cozy place to live so they can confidently start a new life.

Our fight continues, as thousands of Ukrainian children still remain hostages of an enemy system that is trying to weaponize them.
