19 more kids and teenagers rescued from occupation by Save Ukraine
Last week, the Save Ukraine team rescued 19 children and teenagers from occupation and deportation. This became possible thanks to the support of partners within the initiative of the President of Ukraine, Bring Kids Back UA. Each of them went through pressure, intimidation, and attempts to break their identity — but today, that horror is finally over.
Among those rescued:
🔹 11-year-old Emilia was forced at school to participate in military celebrations, and when she refused to listen to hostile propaganda, teachers openly bullied her. Due to constant fear and stress, the child developed serious health problems.
🔹 19-year-old Sofiia was aggressively harassed by a Russian soldier simply for saying “Thank you!” in Ukrainian. She was also punished at college for her pro-Ukrainian position.
🔹 17-year-old Matvii was deceitfully taken by the occupiers to a “camp,” where he was forced to sing a russian anthem, and for refusing, he was threatened with isolation. The young man had to constantly hide from patrols that were searching the streets to hand out draft notices to youth.
Now these children, along with 16 others, are safe. They are staying at our Hope and Healing Centers, where a team of specialists helps them recover documents, overcome trauma, and simply return to a normal life without fear.
However, thousands of young Ukrainians still remain hostages of a system that breaks their lives and militarizes their minds. We have no right to stop until we bring them all back.
🙏 We thank our partners Wladimir Klitschko, Tatjana Kiel, WeAreAllUkrainians, Humanity Funds, and the Joint Center for Coordination of Search and Release — together, we are bringing Ukrainian children home.
Thanks to Save Ukraine, more than 1,200 children are already back home.
