Activities for women and girls at Save Ukraine Community Centers
Safety is about more than just a roof over your head—it’s also about inner peace. For women and teenage girls living under constant stress, having a space where they are heard, understood, and supported is vital.
That’s why Save Ukraine expanded its support program this July. Five more Community Centers—in Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, Pivdenne, and Kryvyi Rih—have joined the project. There are now eight such spaces operating across frontline regions.
On July 11, in the city of Pivdenne, Save Ukraine’s child protection specialist Olesia Lototska hosted a heartwarming gathering for women and girls titled “The Power of Support: Safety, Respect, and Healthy Relationships.”
Instead of dry lectures, the event featured interactive exercises, candid group discussions, and real-life scenario analysis. Participants learned how to recognize the signs of healthy relationships, gently but confidently assert their personal boundaries, and find resources for recovery. They also learned exactly where to seek help in difficult circumstances.
Gatherings like this have a tremendous impact. They do more than just provide practical knowledge—they restore self-confidence to women and girls. They help them realize that asking for help is perfectly normal, and that there are people nearby ready to support them. Step by step, we are helping to restore emotional balance and create a safe environment for our communities.
